In addition to GP consultations the practice adheres to the General Medical Services Contract for the provision of healthcare services:
We are sorry but we do not hold a contract to provide Smoking cessation services from April 2018 therefore encourage patients to contact SmokeFreeLifeOxfordshire https://www.smokefreelifeoxfordshire.co.uk/
Please note that we are not a specialist addictions service and do not prescribe methadone.
Patients with concerns about their drug or alcohol use can contact the LASARS service directly by calling 01865 403261. Further information on the Oxfordshire Drug and Alcohol Team services can be found at http://www.oxfordshiredaat.org
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with one of the practice nurses to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
The Travel Clinic is held on a monthly basis, so we advise booking your initial appointment as early as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel, or earlier if you are visiting several countries and/or for longer periods,eg.backpaking, world tours - as more appointments may be required. Some vaccinations require more than one dose and certain vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. It is important that your last vaccine is given at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow for full protection.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
